Scott was born in Central California and was raised in Bakersfield, California. He studied Business at California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo and received his MBA from Pepperdine University. He has held roles over his thirty year career with Deloitte, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Viacom, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, and Aera Energy (a JV between Exxon/Mobil and Shell).

He is a Certified Public Accountant and has most recently been the Principal in a regional niche market accounting firm.

With his Family, he began dancing in the local semi-professional ballet production of “The Nutcracker.” (No, Really!) One of the few remaining productions in the USA to perform with a live Orchestra. He has the distinct honor of saying “I’m an Auditor who is a REAL NUTCRACER!” During his ten years dancing, he composed a short book of philosophical musings titled “Life is a Ballet.” He is currently working on a second book related to his love of fast cars.

As the Craft Beer scene developed in the Bakersfield Area, he discovered a tribe of friends who also had a passion and love for great craft beer. This led to a desire to build a life intersecting his passion for business, travel, adventures, and the craft beer industry.

He is a lifelong learner with passions in understanding, teaching and sharing life lessons, his understanding of the Craft Beer Industry and helping others to succeed in it. He enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, dancing, driving fast cars, experiencing new adventures, meeting interesting people, and drinking excellent craft beer. Thus, the became the fresh draft of “The Beer Tourist.”

Scott is available as a Strategist, Consultant, Teacher, and Speaker to those in the Craft Beer Industry.
